Facilitated by a nice gap at the horizon, the Raleigh area was treated to some very robust crepuscular rays that illuminated the underside of the advancing clouds... seen in the first image 10 minutes before sunrise proper (and better
large on black), and above, three minutes later, with the rays having merged into a bona fide flamer of a sunrise (again better
LOB).
Great fun....
